The founder of the dance department for the New
Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) and dance
chair for 25 years. She has been a consultant for
performing and creative arts schools throughout the
United States and Canada. She has taught Master
classes for Regional Dance America ballet festivals. Ms.
Oustalet performed as principal dancer with the Delta
Festival Ballet, Dallas Ballet, The New Orleans Opera,
Palm Beach Opera, and was Ballet Mistress for the
Santa Fe Opera. She has choreographed for Tulane
Summer Lyric Theatre, Le Petit Theatre du Vieux Carre,’
the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Corpus Christi
Ballet, New Orleans Youth Ballet, San Antonio
Metropolitan Ballet, and Houston Allegro Ballet. Her
expertise includes Classical Ballet, Pointe, Flamenco,
Charater, Modern, and Jazz. Ms. Oustalet is in demand
as a guest teacher and choreographer and respected as
a true pedagogue. Her students are professional
dancers in Atlanta Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Dutch
National Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre,
Disney World Productions, Universal Studios, and David
Parsons Company. They have appeared on and Off-
Broadway in West Side Story, A Funny Thing Happened
on the Way to the Forum, Smokey Joe’s Café, Cats, Ain’t
Misbehavin, Aida, Contact, Thoroughly Modern Millie, The
Boy from Oz, and The Wedding Singer and are in national
and international touring companies. She has received
critical acclaim as a
performer, choreographer and master teacher and
recognized by:
