
Dance Class Program Descriptions We offer classes in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Pointe,Ballet/Tap Combo Classes for Toddlers, Mommy's Mini Movers, Jazz-erina's Toddler Jazz, Jumps & Turns, Stretch & Strength, Non-Recital classes, Adult Classes, Competitive Programs, and Private Lessons.
'Mommy's Mini Movers' is a class specifically for young students Your child will experience the benefits of music, exercise, flexibility while exploring classical ballet and tap dance.
Ballet / Tap for toddlers is an independet fun class for up and coming dancers ages 18 months to 5 years of age. This class is a great introduction for students just developing their coordination. The students come for one hour a week and participate in a half hour of ballet and a half hour of tap. The teacher guides students in developing balance, technique and listening skills.
Ballet Tap for 6 & 7's builds upon Ballet Tap for Toddlers to continue a student's basis in ballet and tap. This class is a fun class that introduces the next level of technique to the student's. This combination class is a great way for students to experience the best of two classes.
An intro to Jazz class for your 3 or 4 year old. Classes involve a warm up, light stretches, dance games and individual work similar to follow the leader. Class duration is 30 minutes.
What is the difference between Jazz & Hip Hop? Jazz is a structured discipline of dance that utilizes a ballet base. Jazz is a stage form of dance. Jazz dance can be seen in High School Musical or local dance teams. Hip Hop is a high energy street style of dance. Hip hop dance can be seen in videos from Beyonce', Usher, or Rihanna. Jazz and Hip Hop are the two most popular classes in the school. We offer Jazz and Hip Hop classes for students 5 years and older.
Tap is best described as sound producing, syncopated, rhythmic steps in motion. We teach traditional tap in the order of Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire. We offer Tap classes for students 5 and older.
Lyrical class is a fusion of ballet and jazz techniques using motion to express emotion and tell a story. We offer Lyrical classes for students ages 5 and older.
Ballet class is the basis of Jazz and Lyrical dance. In this class students work on grace, placement, and precision in movement to attain technical ability. We offer ballet classes for students ages 5 and older. For younger students we offer ballet coupled with tap classes. See Ballet Tap for Toddlers.
Contemporary Modern dance is a style of dance that rejects the limitations of classical ballet and favors movement that is less firmly bound a predetermined form of dance. In this class students work on improvisation, strength, and the exploration of movement. We offer Contemporary Modern class for students 12 and older.
Cheer leading offers the opportunity for kids to develop more self-reliance and self-confidence on an individual level while stressing the importance of teamwork within a squad. This class incorporates the fundamentals of cheering - arm movements, jumps, and a variety of cheers and chants that incorporate these skills - including spirit dance!
We offer a variety of non-recital classes for those students interested in honing their technical abilities only. Jumps&Turns is a class that gives those interested in trying out and making local dance teams the tools to do so. Jumps&Turns allows the student to work on the execution of technique in various turns and jumps. Non-recital classes are notated on the Schedule of Classes. We offer non-recital classes to students ages 5 and older.
A great non-recital class that focuses on strengthening core muscles, improving flexibility, and developing strong dancers. This class is open to anyone 10 years and older.
A great NON RECITAL 45 minute JAZZ class for anyone who wishes to continue dancing for fun, for exercise and a great social experience!
Private lessons are a great option for any dancer interested in quickly progressing. Once scheduled, one of our teachers will guide you personally to become a better dancer, technician, and performer. Private lessons are available in 30 minute, 45 minute, or 1 hour increments.
